A Great Week

Last week I was able to help our "newlyweds" (although their 1st anniversary is just around the corner) move into their new place. They had been living in an apartment, but now live on the top floor of this charming house you see, below.

View from their front door, upstairs. I LOVE the two round windows.
Below, Saturday at a Craft Fair.
And...a Jazz Concert in the Park.

One night we worked on this little "makeover", below.
Awesome colors, huh?

This little birdie was my new House Warming gift. : )

Sure love you guys!!!!!

  3. Seems like my kids always find apartments that are up one or more flights of stairs. too much work! good thing theyre young. I am better suited to packing and unpacking! lol! I bet your sweet daughter and her hubby were thrilled to have your help. I have two moves in the future.. my son and his girlfriend are in the process of buying a double house and will be renting the other side to my daughter, her boyfriend and my torry pie! I might need to go on vacation the weekend that they all move! might you be wanting some company? lol!
    have a great weekend!

  9. Isn't it just awesome to watch our kids find their mate and start their new life?

What a wonderful choice to move from an apartment to the top of that brownstone. I'm thrilled for them.

I love your relationship with them and I can relate so much to it.

Don't tell, but I think my Kara is being proposed to this weekend! She is out of town at a lake and her boyfriend said he was going to ask her dad permission to marry her. He has the ring!!! Eeekkkk...can't believe this is happening! I have used Sara's wedding as an example to Kara. I thought theirs was fun and beautiful! Lots of great ideas you've given us.
Cheers to a beautiful month ahead.
