Guess What We're Doing Today!

Some of you will remember this post from last Fall when we gave Sara's room a makeover.

Well, today we are FINALLY painting the two remaining walls a light grey, which was the plan from the beginning. I told Sara that even if the end of the world comes today, we will get the walls painted first. Hee-hee. It may look like it's already painted grey to the right of her bed, but that is actually the leftover pale lavender from her pre-teen days.

Sara fell in love with a Damask pattern on some plates that I have and asked if we could use it as the pattern to stencil her walls. So I photocopied the plate, cut out a stencil and we went to work.

The very first stencil to go up (below). Wish us luck today & here's hoping the end of the world doesn't happen first. : )

  2. I am in awe of your ability to put things together and make a beautiful end result. Gray is such a hot color right now and I have to say I love it with the pink/peach in your daughter's room. I'm so glad to hear that someone loves stencilling like I do. So pretty-such a lucky girl.

  8. Wow this is beautiful--so grown-up and classy. I must admit, I love doing my girl's room--the boys, now that they are teens, get what they get, and had better not throw a fit Ü.
