Some Organization Ideas

Now, I'll be the first to admit that I am one of the most disorganized people I know, BUT...at least I never stop trying. : )
Did you know that when businesses close, often they donate their display items to Goodwill and other thrift stores? That's how I acquired this beautiful little number!

And this little beauty, too! Both from Goodwill.
Last week I bought these black plastic boxes from Ross. Five for $5.99!

I also picked up the closet shoe organizer at Ross, the same day for $6.99. The cute tin buckets are from the Target dollar section. I got the yellow ones last Summer and the red ones at Christmas. $2.50 each. They really do slide in and out easily.
One for doorknobs.
I LOVE being able to walk up to these clear "shoe pockets" and see all the items to choose from.
I've shown you this paper rack before in 'My Workspace' post, but I thought I'd show it once again with a link here, if you're interested. However, they have almost doubled in price since I bought mine. You can also check EBay.

I hope to get around to all of your Sites by the end of the week. Thank you very much for all the sweet comments on my "fairies" and also on my "Wed. with Mom" post. If only there were 48 hours in a day...if only. : )

  5. Look at you! What great organizational ideas! I love that shoe hanging thing with the buckets in it. Genius!

I have the worst luck at Goodwill and Thrift stores - they aren't very good around here. I will keep my eye out for some of those great things.

Thanks and have a lucky day!

  12. I have a hard time believing that you find yourself to be disorganized. What you've done is amazing especially with your paper rack. I hope I will find something like your tiered display thing at our goodwill soon.

  17. Love your organization ideas!! I have shoe tree in your top two pictures. The shoes fit over the lifted inverted "U" with the soles facing out. I have mine at the cottage, but hmmmm, maybe I should bring it home to my craft room. Try as I might, my family continues to toss their shoes where they may fall!

I know what you mean about needing 48 hours in a day. . . I hear you sister. I'm not visiting my blogging buds nearly as much as I wish I could. But, I will stop by tomorrow to see your darling little mom!

    Blessings,

    Sher

  31. What great ideas. Looks to me as though you are pretty organized. I crave organization and order but, don't always seem to get it right. I never thought of looking at goodwill for things like that. BTW, I love reading your blog. You have some great ideas and The Wednesdays with My Mom posts always touch my heart. :)

  32. Organizing is half the fun of crafting. Always searching for new containers and then more stuff to fill them. I have a tiered basket on my desk with my favorite stamps in it...then about 10 other drawers full also. I do have the same shoe bags as you.(Target?) I like them because they are clear. Mine are filled with paper punches. I like the other shoe caddy you have with the bins inside, very clever Mary Lou.
