Ok, on to this post. I read an article about a talented woman, Teesha Moore, who made these dolls you see above, and below. It got me thinking about a similar doll I made 200 years ago. No, that's not a type-o, it's just that I feel that old sometimes. : )
Here she is in all her 1990's glory. What I'm toying with is making her a new face, which I will stamp onto fabric, and covering her wings with some awesome 21st century paper and Mod Podge.
Possible faces?????
Onto the next goofy thing...I found an old tin can container at the antique store over the weekend. I put the lady liberty temporarily over the part that says Velvet Tobacco, because I was too embarrassed not to. : )
This is my inspiration, below. Again, thanks to Hop Hop Jingle Boo (refer to last week's post). SO...stay tuned to see how these pieces of "psycho art" (name courtesy of Sara) turn out.
Now for the fun part. I went back through all my crafty projects since the beginning and these are the ones I'm willing to make again for the Giveaway. Look over all 12 of them and let me know which one you would love for the event. I might even make two for two lucky winners.

Love those doll faces....can't wait to see the doll makeover. You are such a talented person. The tobacco can will be cute when you get through with. Very whismy!
ReplyDeleteOh goodie one of your crafts...oh I love them all but I love Fall so the Halloween craft or the pixie face would be neat to have. Thanks so much.
oh goodness that is not fair.. I love all your work.. hmmm.. I cant decide between the wings of love.. or the Halloween one.
ReplyDeleteYou are so crafty! Wish I had half of your talent.
ReplyDeleteI have daughter's who would love the ballerina and I wouldn't mind a cute bag or halloween craft!
SQUEALING!!!!! You know how much I love your crafts!!! I am torn between three of them the Eifel pendant, the ballerina box and the hanging paperdoll. I think I would pick the paperdoll.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with your 200 year old doll...lol
I tried making a doll ala Teesha Moore several years ago. Let's just say she was the doll on the playground that all the other dolls wouldn't want to play with. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm coveting that halloween skeleton head craft. Seriously, if I could reach out and grab it through my computer I would! Halloween is my FAVE. Those little purses are gorg as well! Heck, everything is! But if I had to pick two faves for the giveaway, the halloween and purse would be them.
Excited to see your doll makeover!
I can hardly wait to see your doll after her transformation! The Character Construction stamps are awesome, don't you think? Of course I will try to win your giveaway, and the prize? I would be happy with anything you've made. I drool over all of it!
ReplyDeleteOK, well you are definitely the cutest. How could anyone pick from all that cuteness? I thought about doing a giveaway for my 100th. But then all my insecurities came out (what if no one signed up, what if no one liked what I was giving away, ahhhh!). Love it all. Mimi
