Sermons From the Bathroom Mirror

I've been such a slacker this week. But I couldn't resist adding to the "Sermons..." post today. It's a little embarrassing how old and dated this looks. I hand wrote it back in the '90's. Oh well, at least the message will never be outdated.
This was on my children's bathroom mirror for years. Like Janice, from Grams Blog and Marie, from Spun by Me, alluded to... The kiddos need to do something while they're brushing their teeth. Why not make it a teaching moment? : ) If you missed last week's, click here.

Have a good Sunday,
M.L.
P.S. I wish I could remember who the quote was from. It was in a lesson I was teaching to a group of young women one Sunday (a LONG time ago). I made one of these for each of them to take home and then came home and put it up at our house too.

  2. M.L. still no word from Debbie. I continue to wait in prayer. I have prayed continuously since she called. I am selfish in that I want to keep Amy with us, but then I also know 23 years to battle cancer is more than anyone should have to endure. That is that she has known on this earth. Pain. I know she is in God's hands. Thank you for keeping our family in your prayers. I so love you for it. Love, Sherry

  4. Oh ML!
I just heard from Debbie. When they got to the hospital they immediately hooked Amy up to an IV and Debbie said they were running the IV wide open to get the fluids into her body. Debbie said they are on the second bag now. She has come around a little bit and able to answer a few questions. They have admitted her to the hospital which is a good thing. Debbie said when they finally got a urine specimen it was very, very thick, and she was very close this time. Debbie thought it might have been a couple of days since her kidneys had even moved. Her potassium level was 2.1. Amy won't tell anyone anything as she didn't want to go to the hospital. Amy told the nurse though that this is the worst she had ever felt. Our prayers have been answered once again, and maybe they can get her pumped up with some fluids and allow her to sleep. She is so weak. Debbie thought they would start feeding her but I don't know how that will be just yet, but get some nourishment into her little body. Thank you again my friend from the bottom of my heart for all of your love and support tonight. I love you so much for everything. Love, Sherry

  8. I think Eclectic Pink Rose has a great idea! A new "sermon" every Sunday. We all need words of wisdom to remind us of our true priorities!

  12. HI M.L.!!!
I so love that message, after seeing Wicked, and yes I had bought the soundtrack as soon as I bought the tickets to the show, so I would understand the jest of the play, there is a song in there called POPULAR, and being Popular is where everyone thinks they need to be to Get somewhere in life, oh you may or will but being pleasing to God is so much more beneficial!!!
    You have beautiful handwriting skills!!!!
    I love that sign!!!!
    hugs,
    jamie
