Wednesdays With My Mom and Pumpkins for Sale

As you know, last week was a rough one. Things seem to be going a little smoother this week, but I'm still anxious for our appointment with the Neurologist later this week.
My mom, dad and precious little June (baby no. 3). Can you even get over the adorable dolly-baby pic of her below? So sweet!!
So these photos, below, are from two weeks ago. On that Wednesday, we stopped at Walmart and picked up several things my mom had been wanting, plus a hair coloring kit. It was time and she was such a good sport.
Watching TV while we waited for the color to set in.
I grabbed a quick pic as we were heading out the door that night. Sweet Mamma!
So this is what I've been busy with for stress relief this week. Thanks for the suggestion, PJ. : )

If you remember, I made these last year after first seeing them on the 'Sunshine in my soul' blog and Rachel's 'Made with love and lots of glue' blog.

So if you would like to add one of these to your Fall Decor', they're sitting over in my Shop for $10.00 each. HAPPY 2ND DAY OF FALL. : ) Oh my goodness...I had no idea these would go so fast. I will be making more in the coming days. Thanks so much to those who ordered! : )

  1. I'm soooooo glad you and Wilma are having a better week! Love that you color her hair for her! She's just so sweet! And the vintage photos, as always, are filled with charm!

You're welcome for the suggestion...and I bought three of the five this morning....THAT was not my intention! They're just my earthy color palette and so textural, I couldn't resist.

Whatever will you make me spend my money on next?! ;)

  13. Glad things are going better. Nice you can keep your Mom looking so good. I am grateful for a sister who lives near my Mom who keeps her hair cut, permed, and curled.

Looks like you are already for fall - even if it is still summer weather.

  15. OH DEAR...I just read about your mom. That just breaks my heart. It's so-so hard to care for a parent. It's hard to see the people you love, who have lived such a good life and worked hard struggle.

  18. My moms name was June. The other day I found a tiny little cup and saucer in Goodwill with June on it. I'll be posting it in October sometime. We have much in common, my mom battled dementia just like yours. I love the picture of you coloring her hair. It made we want to cry, it's so intimate and sweet. God bless both of you.

  25. OK, so don't laugh at me but after looking at your Mom's "ready to go, hurry up and take the pic" picture I thought to myself,"I would have NEVER thought that she dyed her hair."and then it hit me that I'm forty three and my hair is half gray, LOL!!! Nothing beats a good hair day! hahaha!
