I've had this Paper Trends book (below) for a couple of years now and have wanted to make these hearts featured inside. I finally got around to it.
Here's the link to the tutorial for the paper rose: http://dozidesign.blogspot.com/2008/05/paper-flower-tutorial.html
I also added some gathered crepe paper to this heart (below) so it would show up better from a distance.
Marshmallow lollipop, below, came from Walmart for only $1.00.
Paper cut-out came from Hobby Lobby last year.
Argh.....I can't remember who showed this idea to us last year! If it was you, please leave me a comment so I can give you credit for wrapping the candles like this.
I cut it into thirds, and "spread the love". : )

Great idea ~ that marshmallow flower!!
The new look for the glittery heart is super ~ it's amazing what a little bit of change can do!
You sure have been creative I love the way your front door looks and the wrapped candles are very cool! Have a great week. Hugs, Diane
Everything looks so fabulous. Your additions to the heart on the door really made a difference and that little potted marshmallow heart is too cute. All the lovelies on that first paper heart - love that little paper rose!
I'm visiting a friend and her 8 month old baby so I'm not getting any Valentine's decorating up this year - but you're making me wish I was!
I love the hearts you have created. I also love the cut out paper around the candles. I have some pretty candles that my kitten has knocked over and broken - I think I can "mend" them with this cut out paper idea! Blessings to you and yours this week.
How cute! Allie feels a project coming on! Thanks for the inspiration
xoxo Pattie and Allie

Wonderful Valentine decorations, especially that lollipop "flower"! I would love to keep making valentine stuff, but I was told that it's a little too valentiney in here, so I guess I'll move on to Easter!

I keep walking by those marshmallow hearts at Walmart restraining myself from buying a ton of them. Looks like I might have lost that battle after seeing your super-cute idea with them!
I just love the heart you made inspired by the PT's magazine. Gorgeous. All your little V'day touches are just too sweet!
