Wednesdays With My Mom...So you won't worry : )

I'm not quite ready to blog again, (lots of "real life" has prevented me from finishing my big organization project), but that's okay... because interruptions are part of "real life" too.
But just so you won't worry, I thought I'd take a few minutes to post a 'Wednesdays With My Mom'. On this Wednesday, we took over one of the Sibling's group gifts that had to be ordered, therefore came after Christmas.
She was completely thrilled. Our wonderful sister, June, helped Mom pick this one out at Coldwater Creek one day in December. But they didn't have her size, so they ordered it and had it sent.

Below, holding the beautiful new bag my sister, Diana, gave my mom.
Next, we ran over to June's to show her how it fit and ended up spending a little time with her.
Great day!!

See these adorable little girls below?
Well this is also them, below...
These silly girls decided they wanted to make new black dresses for New Year's Eve.
Thank heavens my sweet friend, Margie (above), was in for the insanity and came over to help me, help the girls pull this off.

Beautiful J's dress:
Beautiful Sara's dress:

WORTH EVERY MINUTE!!! : )
We couldn't have done it without you, Margie. Thanks for coming over to help. : )

** I'm working hard putting the house, garage, and studio back together. We also came down with terrible wipe-you-out colds over here after Christmas. Don't feel obligated to leave a comment here. I haven't yet answered even one from the last post. I'll be the first to admit, "I'm a piece of work"!!! Looking forward to coming back to blogging soon.

  1. Good Morning, Great family photos and gorgeous black dresses! Your Mom looks so sweet in her new jacket. Sorry to hear you all have been sick. I am taking a blog break as my husband's health has made it necessary for us to sale our home and find a handicap accessible home. I'll check in with you often and I hope things will settle down for you soon. I wish you the very best in the new year.

First, the dresses turned out beautiful. It does my heart good to see young people sewing. They will never regret learning how to sew.

Your Mom is such a sweetheart. I love her jacket from Coldwater Creek. You can never go wrong with Coldwater Creek. They have beautiful clothes. They have something for every age.
    Take care, Sue

  28. I thought things would settle down after Christmas but so far not so. Love that first picture of you as a baby. Your parents look so young still. Loved that church in the background. Probably late 50's or so right? Your mom's new jacket is almost as cute as she is. Love the little girls in their baptism dresses. How fun to make black, party dresses a few years later. A great memory for them both. And you too of course. Love Sarah's gold shoes too. Hope all are feeling better. Mimi

  38. *Sorry I was clearly not awake when I made my first post that I just deleted* :-) Hi! This is my first visit to your blog, I just became a follower. Nice post, love all the holiday finery. I am really curious to know where you got the patterns from for the dresses your girls made? They did a wonderful job on them and look beautiful. My daughter and I are about to get into a dress project and I'd love to use this style of patterns. Can you tell me about them? Thanks so much & keep on keeping on!
