Oh happy day, we're starting to get out the Spring decor over here. And Below, is the tutorial I wanted to share with you.
Have you been introduced to this wonderful website yet? It's called: http://www.papertoys.com/
They have the most wonderful "toys" for your children to make over there (IN 3-D)!!! And it's all for free. They also offer things like the Statue of Liberty, the Chrysler Bldg., etc. I know you'll love it.
Sara cut out and assembled the tower.
I covered the box.
Even added some embellishment.
And, of course, added glitter. OF COURSE!
You've probably seen this little number, below, in my photos from around the house. If I remember correctly, it was a Cody Foster creation that is now retired. There are no markings on the box to tell me for sure. But we had fun making our own version. : )
Happy Crafting!!

So cute. My daughter in DC loves all things Paris. I should send her the link...she's also very coordinated when it comes to working with small paper folds, etc.

You're such a sweetie..and one of the most joyus inspirations in my life!!!...I so enjoy trying to find my creative side..which I was truly convinced did not exist..until you came along...and now I feel empowered and encouraged by all that you do so lovingly...
Your loving and patient relationship with your mother has taught me to do the same with mine...and encourage my aging mother to enjoy life and remember the past...according to her..and not dictated by what others think she should be...
Thanks again sweet friend and God Bless!!
Hugs,
Oma

Lovely as always.
Sorry you've had 'drama', but sounds like you've handled it in a classy way. I think your Eiffel Tower turned out better than the other one. Love your header photo! Too cute! :) Makes me want to go back to Dollar Tree to pick up some of those eggs similar to yours.
Another wonderful header! It just makes me smile!
The bags in your last post are great. I love the shape ~ they remind me of bags my mother-in-law used to make. She called them "ditty bags" and she made them for all her friends. They all used them as toiletry bags when they went on their girlfriend get-aways.
I love how forgotten memories come to life here in the land of blog!
Embroider that on a pillow. All's well that ends well;D Thanks for the link. That Eiffel tower is so great. I need to get that basement finished so I can play in the craft room! Mimi
J'adore (francais!) l'eiffel tower!!!

What great boxes! Gives me ideas for storing pictures from places with landmarks and a great place for saving pennies for trips to far off lands!

Fun projects and love your new header. You are definately ready for sping.
Do mind giving out tips on how you glitter so well??
Hi Jennifer,
What a sweet request. I hope you come back here for the answer because I was not able to click on to a Blog Site for you. Here's your answer:
I used a sponge brush to apply Mod Podge all over. Then while holding the tower over a newspaper, I just stared pouring. I LOVE Martha Stewart glitter (found at Walmart).
Then when you're done, the fold in the newspaper allows you to pour the excess back in. Hope this helped. : )
P.S.
I didn't stare at the glitter...(forgot the 't') Ha! : )
Love your glitter Eiffel Tower. So pretty.
You are always so busy and make beautiful things. I wish I had half the energy. Your posts are always fun and inspirational. My daughter (10) enjoys looking too.

Stacie is very busy at disney taking a wine somelier class, I know SIC, but a GREAT advancement opportunity and when it knocks you open!!! Those classes are very expensive to take and so she did it!!!!so anywho, thanks for stopping over to visit while I was away, I always love to hear from you and visit your blog.
I just feel terrible about that entire situation that happened, and I really never should have made a comment one way or the other, it just isn't any of my concern--except to the ones involved but the ones involved, I guess I just read her side and I felt bad for her and made a comment, and then I took it off, as I realized it is someone's opinion and that all of us are friends here!!!!so please do not feel bad or upset, I know you Have a GREAT heart and so does she and it was just a mistake or time had so passed that it seemed ok, but glad everything is ok now.
you after all are a dear friend and I would not want to have you with hurt feelings about this.
love,
jamie
