Sweet Shop in the Making...

I'm sure you've seen "Sweet Shops" at other Weddings. Well, with Sara's colors and theme...how could we resist???
We still need to make the pendants for Will's name.

Here's three delightful 'Inspiration Photos' below:

And here's the beginnings of our collection (below). All to be added to glass jars eventually.

I leave you with GREAT NEWS: 5 dresses down, 2 to go!!! : )

  11. Not posting but keeping up with all your wedding fun. I would be eating all that candy if it was in my house:-) I think the candy tables are such a good idea. My daughter had fortune cookies in all different color take home containers with chop sticks and little colored paper umbrellas sticking out of the cartons because she knew if she did candy I would have eaten it all before the guests ever arrived:-) I forget when the wedding is?

  13. this looks like the wedding of the century! Wow! I have been doing my new blog-hopping and I know i have been here before because of the part where "they had to decide if they still like each other" and now I get to see the whole wedding. I love aqua so you have me there. Just adore the flower bouquets...so clever...and those flower girl dresses are perfectly. Love the frames in the trees...wow! You have done so well. The flowers are fabulous, too!

We are pretty new to the world of blogland. My daughter gave the blog to me as a gift and a big surprise one day. Come and visit, if you would like. We make repurposed jewelry but our blog is all about our lives, our family (and dogs), other art that we do, our home and wonderful estate sale and rummage sale finds. There is a necklace Kat made from vintage flowers from the sixties in our store. Love it. Seemed to take her forever!

  14. I have been enjoying seeing the evolution of this wedding and I can see you, head bowed down at the sewing machine, stitching away for hours and the whole time the wheels in your head are thinking of the "next thing". You and Sara are a great team...you should maybe think about being professional party planners? Everything is looking charming. You must have a lot of discipline to not break into that candy!!!
Thanks for letting us peek at the progress.
    Hugs!

  15. You are doing so well getting ready for this wedding. Congralations on having so many of the dresses finished. All those goodies look so yummy. Of course I'm still dieting (but I've lost about 60 pounds so I'm looking good.)

  16. This is so exciting, Mary Lou! And the bunting is adorable.

Thanks for the comment you left regarding my shoulder. Funny that you mentioned the EMS. The chiro office I work at has "tens units" which are basically ems machines. We loan them out to patients and I'm not sure why we didn't think of using them on my shoulder. :o\ I have an appointment to see an orthopedic doctor next week. I'll see what he has to say, but I'm thinking getting back to yoga might be the ultimate answer for me. We'll see...

  20. What an awesome time you are having. It must be magical. You remind me of Cinderella...sewing and making things so pretty for the ball. And then...there's a prince charming called Will and a lovely girl called Sarah and YOU can be the Fairy Godmother! Yep...wedding bliss is about to unfold!
Thinking of you from your girl with the curl...up North!
