Sara's wedding dress is truly from the 1950s. We ordered it on Etsy several months ago and made some alterations to her liking.
The Wedding Day was a total success. Pure magic under the stars!!! While we wait for the photographer's photos and while we all recuperate over here, I thought you would enjoy these few shots.

Dear Mother of the Bride...
ReplyDeleteGive yourself a medal of honor, you did a wonderful job of making this day, the most beautiful day in the world for both of them.
Mary Lou, What a wonderful job you did on transforming vintage to modern while still keeping all of it's charm! Lovely girl you have! Restful wishes for you MOTB! Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteMary Lou,
ReplyDeleteI am still amazed as I read about your life. It is amazing and I seek to be like you every time I read your blog. Instead of making cute crafts though, I have to go to school. It is so cool to read everything too since I couldn't be there to go to the reception. You did such a nice job. Love you and hope you are enjoying your life. What now? quilting? :)
P.s. Sarah is so dang cute too. YOu and hubby raised her to be such a wonderful young lady. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see more pics of the wedding! I am giving you an award so stop by and check it out if you'd like...have a great day!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! While our Jessica and Craig struggled with photos the day of the wedding, yet hours before the wedding, your daugher was WAY ahead with 3 days before the wedding for the photos! Great idea, more time for lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteDarling coulple. Like you, we are waiting for our photos from our friend (who took the photos, not a pro! but very good..). I'll be watching your photos and come over and see ours---hopefully soon! Jessica wanted the "under the stars" reception...good thing we rented a big white tent, as we were under the clouds-rain clouds. But she was so sweet and enjoyed everything in spite of the DAY LONG RAIN>...
Blessings, Heidi
