Does anyone out there remember when this kitty with the red shoes was so popular? Back in the day, I bought a bed sheet with the intention of using it for crafting one day. I never used it as a sheet, BTW. : )
Here's one of the ideas I came up with. I'm looking forward to using it for more fun creations.
This necklace below, was an experiment. I decoupaged pieces of a map onto this round sphere. Both items are sitting in my Shop if you have a need for one.
And remember..."You're never too old to do [or make] goofy stuff"! : )

I like the world traveler necklace! I'm more of a US traveler but maybe if I wore that necklace...hhmmm! Cute stuff! ♥
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that necklace (though I hate to travel!) that is so awesome. The cat is a klibins cat. theres a little song that goes with his cat art that I sing to my kitties sometimes... "I love to eat them mousies, mousies what I love to eat.. bite they little heads off and chew they tiny little feet!" lol!

ReplyDeleteNothing goofy come from you my dear...just fun and cleverness! Yes, I remember the cat...was is Kliban? The globe necklace is very unique and I also liked your silk hydrangeas from the last post. Some of the silks look as good as the real flowers....I say, do it!

ML!!!!!! I HAD those sheets!!!!! I loved them so much...wish I still had them today. Of course, they would not fit my king bed....and my husband does not really like sleeping with cats...but anyhoo. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your necklace...you always amaze me.
Great job on both. The necklace is similar to the one I made a while back.:D You went to a lot more trouble than I did, as I would not have been patient enough to deco. the globe.

I totally remember that kitty!!! Wow, neat blast from the past!! :) The necklace is so very cute, too!!!
ReplyDeleteHey you! I think this is the cat they called "Kliban Cat"...might be spelled wrong but that is the first thing that popped into my head.....the necklace is just awesome!
ReplyDeleteHI MARYLOU!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for writing such sweet things, My blogger friends always come through for me. Little dude was born with hypospadious(crooked uretha-penis) so the pediatric urologsit is going to fix him all up and then circumcise him. I am nervous, hoping everything turns out perfect and he has no need for a catheter for 2 weeks, which is a possibility. SO I sure would appreciate all the prayers we can get, surgery at Phx Children's hospital this friday morning bright and early.
I say craft and sew all the fun goofy things, I love them!!!
Thanks again
and God Bless you
hugs,
jamie
When it comes right down to it, goofy is what we do best!
ReplyDeleteLove you my goofy friend!
Cheers to Goofy Girls!

Me again. :D Thanks for stopping by and nice comment. The globe I used in the necklace I made, was from an earring. Will prob. use the matching one in a necklace for a granddaughter who showed an interest in it, but need to find charms to go with it first.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
oh dear how did I not comment on this yet?! I loooooove what you did with the little globe necklace charm. SO completely ingenious. and what cute store items! They're all so cute.
ReplyDeleteVery fun items. Thanks for your comments. I'm doing much better now.
ReplyDeleteAdorable necklace! I used to work for Delta Airlines and it would've been a big hit with the girls there. I do remember that kitty but it's been a few years...Mimi
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I stopped in but I have to say.....I LOVE your header :)
