Diana is being Daddy's Little Helper in the yard here. : )
The pic above, is Diana of course. But the photo below, is actually my baby...Sara, in front of Grandma and Grandpa's house on one of our vacations. The porches look so similar, but these are not the same home.
Okay, so she's not a baby anymore. Do I HAVE to admit it? Sara is my number four and the "baby" of our little family. : )
Silly girl. When my mom opened her mail (on this Wednesday, last week) there were more beautiful pix from one of her Granddaughters. I taped it to another water bottle, at least temporarily, so she could enjoy them all. Guess what? I talked my mom into letting me color her hair. She was such a good sport. Afterwards, I said, "Mom, why don't you put on your new blouse, some lipstick and earrings and I'll take some pix of you to show [my siblings]. "
Yes, she is beautiful! I really enjoy seeing your old pictures! They are such a treasure!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, and how did they manage to look like movie stars after childbirth? My mother in law, oh my holding my newborn sister in law, wearing a red hot dress, blonde hair, red lipstick looking like she walked right out of a magazine!!! Me? Frumpy, tired and worn out pics after childbirth. lol!!
ReplyDeleteYour Mom looks absolutely sweet and gorgeous in the last photo!!

HI!!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing old family photos, they are just so happy looking!!! Your Mother looked amazing and she is a beautiful lady today as well!! Way to go to keep her spirits high, a few weeks before my Grandmother passed away, I went to see her in Indiana and I asked her if I could do anything for her to make her feel better or more comfortable, and she said comb my hair, it's bringing tears to my eyes as I type this, not only did I comb it, I go out my curling iron and make-up and fixed her up!! She loved it so much, she wanted to go sit on the porch, and that was the last time she did that, as she passed about 2 weeks after that. She had cancer everywhere and never complained about the pain of it til the end.
I loved her so much and always looked forward to going to Indian and sitting on her porch swing with her.
So thanks for letting me read your story!!!
have a blessed day,
jmaie
