  3. Your little ice skates hanging from your colache remind me of a Christmas back in the very early 60's. My sister and I BOTH asked for a pair of ice skates because we were tired of SHARING my mom's old pair from her childhood.

Christmas morning when we unwrapped all our gifts - - - uh, that would be about two or three - - - no skates.

We tried valiantly to HIDE our disappointment. Dad asked us if we liked our Christmas stuff - - - you know, pj's, socks, underwear. We nodded yes and thanked him.

Then he asked me to go turn on the floor lamp. I thought that a bit strange as we were enjoying our Christmas lights - - - but went to do his bidding, and there - - - hanging from the lamp arms were two brand new pairs of shiny white figure skates.

    It was AWESOME.

  21. Well I am absolutely drooling over your wonderful display. It truly is stunning. I love all of it and together the impact is awesome. Your apothecary jars are so pretty filled with candy and your cloches are to die for with your beautiful arrangements inside. I also love that you hung such wonderful ornaments on the tops of them. The cupcake, the skaters, the bird and well I could just go on and on. This is truly wonderful. Thank you so much for joining the party and sharing these lovely creations. Hugs, Marty

  29. Never have I felt so cloche-less as this month! I've been to several participating blogs and been overwhelmed by the decorating skills of people....

You always go the extra mile when it comes to celebrating and I adore that about you. I'm getting ready to post photos of my mantle next week. You'll see how basic I am when it comes to decorating. ;)

  30. Oh Whimsy - - - you GOTTA find the ducky photo of your hubs!!!!

Oregon is going to play THE Ohio State Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl (and I personally think that the Ducks will quack all OVER those Buckeyes - - - I mean, who's afraid of a big seed anyway?)

Just THINK of the fun post you could make for THAT with your hubs picture.

Besides - - - I want to SEE this picture. If I'd had it yesterday, I'd have put it in MY post!!!!

    Fun times.
