So, here's what we brought home with us, below.
Sara spotted this Ultra Vintage "looking" necklace and we just couldn't leave it there!!!
When my oldest daughter was in High School and before she was married or a mommy, she chose to be in our local Easter Pageant with some of her friends. We were very proud of her because it was a huge commitment that required countless hours of rehearsal and performances.
Then several years later, when Sara was in Jr. High, the two of us decided to follow Emily's example and join the Pageant that year. It was a wonderful experience!
Before a performance one evening, Sara asked the wonderful young man who played Jesus if she could get her picture with him. This young man had an adorable little family. His wife and little children participated too, that particular year. During the scene where "Jesus" is with the little children, each night his wife would emerge from the crowd, hand him his own baby boy to hug for a moment and kiss on the forehead. It brought tears to my eyes every time.
May you have a blessed Easter.
M.L,
ReplyDeleteI wish you and your family a wonderful Easter. God Bless you all.
The necklace is so fab! I love pearls. They are just so classy. My great grandmother loved her pearls and I remember she would only wear them on special occasions. Oh if she were alive she would probably think it is so funny that everyone is into vintage right now.
Blessings,
Jessica
My mom has that same illustration. Did you guys get it together? You sure do have some beautiful daughters!
ReplyDeleteM.L. ~ the trip to the Antique Mall looks like it was a lot of fun! How nice of you to take pics of the Liddle Kiddles stuff. Jackie will be tickled pick to see them I think.
ReplyDeleteThe white lacey dress is beautiful ~ especially with Sara holding it. And I love that necklace.
Thank you for sharing about the Easter Pageant ~ what a special time that must have been. I think Easter programs are my very favorite. We had a Good Friday program at church and it such a powerful reminder of what Jesus Has done for us. I have that same picture of Jesus with the lamb. It's beautiful.
Have a blessed Easter Sunday!
P.S. Would you send me your address so I can mail your magazine ~ I thought I had it but.....
Thanks!
Have wonderful, blessed Easter Mary Lou- and much love to your Mom

OH hippity hoppity down the lane to Kiddle Land...how cute is that! I had that as a child. It was my only vinyl house that I ever had. By chance, do you know how much it was? I might have to call the antique mall up and buy it up in two seconds flat!

ReplyDeleteHi Mary Lou, Hope you had a lovely Easter . . that pic of your daughter Sara sitting in the chair is too cute! Antique shops are fun, but boy I get in trouble . . too tempting for me. Have a good afternoon!
ReplyDeleteML, Love the shoes in photo one; the vintage looking pearl ensemble and the one chick with the diaphanous wings the best.
ReplyDeleteGreat place!!!
Looks like you had lots of fun at the antique store. Great finds. Looks like you had lots of fun with Melanie too! Thanks for the Alice in Wonderland movie approval. I wasn't too sure if I'd like it either. The bottle turned out adorable. Love that little house. Does she have an etsy shop? Hope your Easter was as great as mine. Mimi

A lovely day with your daughter. I too have passed on my love of vintage to both of my children. I think it must be because of all the times I dragged them there. Fun treasures to add to your whimsical holiday scapes. Easter Blessings to you as well! Elizabeth
