See these 12 little flags?
They'll eventually be turned into this:
Did you notice the little flags on the star (below)? :-D
But before I can finish my flag quilt, I need to finish another one of these!!! This one below, is for a sweet friend. Go here to see the first ones I made for my daughter's wedding last Fall.
(Below), Margie took my suggestion, found here, and ran with it. Man, I'm jealous!!!
Have a good week,

ReplyDeleteThat little bird pincushion is adorable! Love your beautiful flags, too! You are always busy! ♥
ReplyDeleteML,
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a very neat quilt!!!! Very primitive and "country".....I love the idea of that Costco shelving with the shoe boxes, just wish I had a space to put it! :) Sandy
Oh, and yes, PLEASE start making those cake toppers.....I wish I was getting married again! :) You will be very busy once people see them....perfect and personal! Sandy
ReplyDeleteLooks like a huge project! Your bridal birds are so sweet. Not sure if or when my daughter will get married...
ReplyDeleteWarmly,

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. My table is a mess, more often than neat. :D
HI!!!
ReplyDeleteYOU QUILT TOO???You are one amazing lady!!!I LOVE that Patriotic quilt. GUESS WHAT!!!I have not sewn in over 30 years and I needed to make some fabric banners/tablecloths--So I borrowed my neighbors sewing machine!!!Stayed up til 3 a.m. the first night sewing and humming away!!!!After lots of table cloths and banners for 2 parties in one week-end--got them all done!!!Today I could not resist --went back to Joann's and got LOTS of fabric, I am addicted to sewing!!I love it!!!Like riding a bike, took me a few hours to figure it out, but I am an old Pro now...not a great pro, but I can sew!!!And it is fun!!!
Tomorrow at Nap time it will be humming and sewing!!!
hugs,
jamie
Future brides...perhaps my daughter. She told me yesterday that she is going to say YES if her boyfriend ask her to marry him! She told me he is her favorite THING in the whole wide world. Cute way to put it. I remember last years wedding for your daughter so I'll be contacting you when and if this happens!
ReplyDeleteWhat a time in history for you to be working hard on this quilt. God bless America. You make me think of Betsy Ross!
Ah, what a fun look at your pending projects! Can't wait to see the finished quilt - and that little bird is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteML, At first it looked like it was finished with a white background. I felt like it was great inspiration. I liked the original blue background and I liked my tan background.... but white would just be way cool. Just sayin'. ;) Love reading your blog!

I's gonna be gorgeous! Love the fabrics you chose. Wish I knew someone who could use your little birdies. They're too cute. Mimi
ReplyDeleteLoving the quilt. Those little birdie cake toppers are adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is looking lovely! We still have 3 quilts to finish.
ReplyDeleteThat quilt looks stunning & very patriotic!... & I so LOVE those little birdies...bride or no bride!!! How fab is that organised sewing room!! :)
ReplyDeleteA day late but the hearts message is always on time...
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers Day. I know it was love filled for you, just as it should be!
I love a homespun Americana look. I'm working on a flag door decoration made with felt. You'd think it's in anticipation of Independence Day but really it is to discourage the cat from jumping up and hanging from the window screen. Naughty kitty. :)
