Ever since I saw this little beauty ( below) from Cherry's Jubilee, I've wanted to try my hand at one. Better late than never.
I think Cherry used a flat piece of wood, but I decided to use the lid of an old box.
Below, I cut my own striped scallops by using this Christmas paper as my pattern.
Using the gloss acrylic sealer really gave it a nice sheen.

Where is my brain...no really, have you seen it? I came here on Sunday and drooled over this cake stand and the tutorial....then wandered over to Cherry's and I guess I lost my way back to leave a comment. (Maybe I left my brain on the road to Cherry's) Anywho, it's a dynamite project and one I will really try!
