100th Post and Giveaway

Addendum: Okay, it's now noon, my time, so I will close the drawing up. From here, I'll go over to comments to post the closing, then will go over to RANDOM.ORG to choose the three numbers. Good luck!

Well, your patience paid off. It was an extra long wait because I had to ask your opinion about the giveaway items, take a vote, and then make the items. I hope it will be worth the wait. : )
Don't be shy. Even if you've never posted a comment over here before, (and live in America) you're welcome to sign up for the giveaway. All you need to do is leave a comment on this post and I will pick the three winners next Friday at noon, my time.

As promised, I opened my Etsy shop today. Here's a collage of the items in there, as of today. I intend on adding to it each time I finish another item.

Good luck on the Giveaway. I've had so much fun getting ready for it. : )
p.s. If you missed out purchasing one of the items above, and I still have the supplies, I will happily make another just for you. Either leave a comment here or on my Etsy Site. Then I will just list it as a custom order over at Etsy. : )

This photo of my grandbaby boy and mom has been on my fridge for a few years now. I put one on her fridge too. Whenever we need to brighten up our day, we know right where to go. : )

Wednesdays With My Mom

SO CUTE! Out on a bike ride with friends. Magazine worthy. : )
While at Walmart Wednesday to buy a curtain rod, we spotted these nice throw pillows!

If you remember, my mom's favorite color is rust. I'm so glad she didn't say, "I'll think about it", which she so often does these days.
They sure brighten up her living room!
Here's what we needed the curtain rod for. My mom's had these curtains for quite some time. She put beautiful new ones in her living room shortly after moving in, but asked if I would put her old gold curtains to good use in her bedroom. Why not! : )

A Grand Experiment of Epic Proportion!

Well...I can honestly say, without loosing any sleep at night, that when I started plotting my 100th post Giveaway celebration, I was not contemplating opening an Etsy Shop. However, I think I've decided to take that leap of faith and try it.

Over the course of the year that I've been blogging, I've had more than one person ask, "When [was I] going to sell on Etsy?". My response was always the same...my time is very limited and I'm not sure how much time I can devote to it. However, after looking into it a bit, I see that one of the beauties of Etsy is that you sell at your own pace. The world doesn't end if you run out of inventory for a week or two.

So, my good friends, I think I will kick off my Etsy "experiment" the day of my 100th Post Celebration and Giveaway. And now that I've posted this, it brings us one post closer to the big event. : )

P.S. And please don't worry...I won't make you do anything crazy to enter my Giveaway. Just plain-old leave one comment (when I get to my 100th). Happy Wednesday to all! : )

Doing My Part to Get Us Closer to the Big Giveaway

Actually, just looking for any excuse to craft. hee-hee! I had fun trying a couple of new things while decorating my second bottle tonight.
See the little jeweled bee? Well, it came off a headband that broke a while back. It was just too cute to throw away, so I put it in my 'charm drawer' and had fun putting it to good use tonight.

Talk about TOO MANY pix of one object! This Blogger should get a clue.
These letter and number spheres came from Coldwater Creek's Outlet, as did the little silver birds below (which came in a set of four).

And look who made it to the place of honor...inside the white crown. No surprises here! : )
And decided to change the Header just a bit to include my new creations.
Only 6 posts left till the Giveaway begins! : )

Wednesdays With My Mom

Baby Diana's getting older and got to go on a trip to Texas to visit Cee-Cee and Granddaddy.

My Mom always giggles about how this dolly (a gift from my mom's parents) is bigger than Diana. : )
A laid-back day for the most part. We ran one errand, got the laundry caught up and then rewarded ourselves lying on Mom's bed, watching Hogan's Heroes.
Remember this pup I got my Mom at Barnes and Noble last December? She still loves him to death and sleeps with him. It melts my heart.
Pix my sister (below) sent to all the siblings a week or two ago.
Forever, the green thumb. : )

Only 7 posts left till the big Giveaway. I'm trying to post every other day to hurry-up the wait (and believe me, that's a stretch)!

92nd Post and how the Giveaway Voting is going so far

BUT FIRST...I give you my version of the Tin "Can-Can" Girl. : )
Have you ever had one of those projects that you thought would be simple and quick, but you just couldn't stop at "simple" and just kept going...and going...and going???
My inspiration: Julie Haymaker Thompson. One of the most amazing artists out there!
Every little feature that was suppose to be simple, turned out to be the opposite, because these little light bulbs just kept going off in my head.
However, I have no regrets because I'm very happy with the way she turned out. I even cut those dowel legs, covered them with paper, and drilled holes in them so they would dangle.
I got the button for her hat at Goodwill. However, it was attached to a "very interesting" pant suit. Just for fun, I offered the "very interesting" pant suit to Sara before cutting the buttons off. She said, "No thanks Mom", in case you were wondering. : )
Teeny tiny grapes came from Goodwill too. LOVE that Store.

Okay, onto how the voting is coming along. So far, as I said yesterday, the white pumpkin head on a box is in first place.
Next in the running is the Eiffel Tower necklace:
And third, is the Ballerina Box:
So unless the voting changes things a lot, this is going to be it. If some of you are just now coming over, you can see all 12 items to vote on in yesterday's post. Thanks for being such good sports, this has been fun!
