SWEET CHRISTMAS MEMORIES MADE:

Three Little Cousins

I think Princess C. is literally taking on the role of "Reindeer", to match her antlers....cutie!!
Can you get over that precious, precious, little smile on Master S's face? Priceless. : )
Awww..."Look what Aunt Sara gave me, Mommy."
My cutie-pa-tootie Son and adorable DIL!!!

Awww...... G.G's favorite color!!!!!!

Some body's going to look beautiful in that new coat!
Okay...THIS PHOTO NEEDS AN EXPLANATION...
You see, I'm sentimental to a fault. As you will see below, these gifts were given to my children many Christmases ago. Over the years I've heard these two children say more than once, "Hey, whatever happened to ...... or.......?" Somehow they mysteriously disappeared over the years. So when I found this Star Wars Creature again in an antique store, I grabbed it up and knew I would save it back for Christmas.
The Jack-in-the-box has a sweet story behind it. I remember this Christmas well. My husband was in Law School and extremely busy finishing up the semester just before the holidays. So on Christmas Eve, he went out to purchase my gift, and wanted something to be "JUST from him" to our little kiddos. This little Jack-in-the-box got ruined somehow after four children, real life, etc. So...I found it on EBay this year and have been saving it back ever since Summer.

Time to start the dinner preparations:

G.G. cutting up the apples for our yam dish.
Master S. willing to do his part too. "Hey, this red rolling pin looks fun!"
Priceless!
Part of the gang enjoying the Feast.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night.
I hope your Christmas was Merry & Bright!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND PEACE ON EARTH

The year 2003 was a year of great loss, sorrow, and lessons to be learned for our family. We lost two of our immediate family members. It is because of the birth of our Savior, that we made it through. He is the only one who can issue peace, no matter the circumstance. He is the reason we go on with the peace and happiness of knowing, because of His perfect life and sacrifice, we will all be reunited as a complete family again one day, never to be separated.

May you bask in the comfort that only the perfect Peacegiver can give. I will be forever grateful for his sacrifice for me and my family. I wish each of you a sweet Christmas full of precious family memories made.
With Love----------Mary Lou, Mom, Nana. : )

A Little Christmas Tweaking

Well, since some of the stores have started cutting their prices on Christmas merchandise before the "big day", I decided to take advantage. However, the little birdcage below was just a splurge while I was Downtown this past week. I added the nest, bird, and holly.

I added some more "words" to my tree.
I've been wanting these aqua trees ever since they put them out in October, but this past week Michael's put them on sale for 50% off. Welcome home little trees. : )

Another one I took advantage of was these cute little candy canes. Perfect for my Who-ville tree

I bought this CRAZY CUTE dish from Marshall's last year. I LOVE the handles!

These next three little guys are not new. I found them in a box I'd forgotten about, in my closet. I almost lost the joy of adding them to my Winter Wonderland this year.
So glad they made it just in time for the celebration! : )

Remember this Pottery Barn inspiration? Well, I've been meaning to add larger silver bulbs to my apothecary jar for over a week. I finally did it.

Okay, a cute story: I went to put something away in Sara's room tonight and found that she's been keeping up with her countdown chain. It made me happy. I know...silly me. : )

Even though she's my big girl now, sometimes she's still my little Sara. Love you cutie!!!

My "little" Sara.
