It's a Little Clue...

this picture below, that is! It's a clue to one of the fun things we did this week while my niece, Melanie, was here.
The girls wanted to see Alice in Wonderland, so I went along just to humor them. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The trailers had me concerned that I would leave feeling like I'd just been on a drug trip. But, nay!! I enjoyed every minute of it. The story line was actually quite clever.
So while enjoying the film, I was forming a diabolical plan for decorating my next glass bottle. See below:

I got the image from Google Images.

I was also remembering when each of my girls dressed up as 'Alice' for Halloween. Fun times!! : )

I asked the girls to pose for me after the movie. They happily obliged.

The whole reason we got to have Melanie at our home this past week was because her older sister, Julie, and her mom were going on a "Show Tunes Tour" during Spring Break. Yea for us!!!

One afternoon we decided to hit some great Shops in town (including Anthropologie). Please enjoy the next several photos, compliments of my Sara. : )

Silly Girl : )

I brought home these cute mugs and chicken timer from 'Anthropologie'.

Melanie has gone home now, but we sure had fun...going out to eat, watching movies, shopping and hanging out. We even made a craft while she was here, which I forgot to take a picture of, but it turned out very cute.
We miss you already, Melanie!

I'm sure Melanie had a blast with Aunt Mary Lou and cousin Sara..Alice stuff is everywhere now... I may have to consider seeing the movie. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but sometimes Johnny Depp creeps me out a little.
When I was young, I had a favorite Aunt that I loved visiting by myself. She always gave great hugs and actually enjoyed listening to me.
Your Alice bottle is really clever and I hope somebody bought that dynamite necklace at Anthropologie...it was so cute!
Hope you have a great weekend! Did you go to a luncheon today?
xoxo

Mary Lou! Diabolically cute post! I hope you can hear me giggling all the way in Ohio. Your craft room post went on and on and on, and I kept thinking to myself, "I really need a nice big room filled with so many wonderful things to create the incredible things that Mary Lou does. My eyes were popping out of my head by the end of the post which was the bottom of the blog! Too funny! I enjoyed every single moment! Especially the Rolodex to help YOU keep track of it all! You are such a special person ML. Best wishes for all good things always! E

I've been wondering about seeing the "Alice" ~ nice to hear from someone who's seen it. It certainly inspired a beautiful bottle!! It's neat that you kept the Alice costume. I made a cute nurse costume (hat and all) when my girls were little but I sold it at a yard sale...wish I hadn't. I found the pattern though and I plan on making it for Charlotte and Penelope.

Thak you Sara...for the Anthropologie photos. I love looking around that store!!

Love your "Alice" bottle. Too cute! My DS and his GF went to see the movie last night, and liked it. He said the story line was very inventive. Like you, based on the trailers, I wasn't sure I'd be able to get into it - looked too weird. May be changing my mind about seeing it now.

I LOVE Anthropolgie! One is going to be opening up in our local mall and I just can't wait!

Sounds like you all had a nice visit niece. Bet you all can't wait for her next visit.

Thanks for sharing, and have a peaceful Sunday.

Looks like you all had a great time. The Alice bottle is so cute. I wish I had stores like the ones you have here. I have to travel into Philadelphia which is 2 hours away. Well I guess spending the day mostly window shopping wouldn't be so bad.

Blessings,
Jessica

I loved Alice in Wonderland but I was a bit cautious too. I think some parts of it would have scared the tar out of some kids...nightmares of bad dragons and such...LOVE your bottle. I have decorated bottles before too. I have no idea why I'm so enchanted with them. Must be some of the Alice in Wonderland "DRINK ME" liquid!

It looks and sounds like everyone had such fun, ML!

I love the decorated bottle...why aren't decorated bottles in your shop...oh yes, I just checked...they aren't.....and you know I'm right....

I want Anthropologie mugs of my own.....I'm off to see if I can accomplish that!!

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time. Love your little Alice bottle.

We loved Alice in Wonderland. It is not my usual thing, but the family was looking forward to it. I loved it. My daughter (10yo) showed up in the car with water bottles for everyone. She had taken the labels off and added her own with "drink me" written on them. I thought it was adorable.

Wow what fun things at the shops!

I was scared by the Alice trailers but now I keep hearing from people that it is pretty good!

Your "drink me" bottle is TOO cute!

It is wonderful to have silly girls to spend time with!:) Thanks for the great ideas...I needed some for this week. I have 5 of our grandchildren with us until after Easter. My two oldest are granddaughters (7 and 10) and love doing anything crafty. 18 will be here for the Easter weekend!
I really wanted to thank you for your sweet comments. My heart and head have been so full. Lance Richards was a friend of our family and I remember well his dad. We lived at the time in Idaho Falls. This book also really touched my heart and helped when my sister passed away 6 years ago. Amazing to look at life beyond the veil.
After the funeral we headed to Colorado for our tiny little #12 babyluv's blessing.
Although I feel swamped both physically and mentally, I did want to visit to and let you know your comment meant alot. ~♥
