Because Someone Asked...

Just another short one today. A couple of weeks ago my blogging buddy, Joyce, asked, "How are you able to stay out of all that candy by your front door?" The answer was simple. I have a 'Mother of the Bride' dress sitting in my closet that has to fit just right on the big day. Ha! Nothing like perfect motivation, huh?
I was so happy to find this on clearance at the Mall. (Still wasn't cheap, but cheap---er) Yipee! Up close details:

I'm thinking about putting a little "bling" on top of the shoes. We'll see.

I'm so sad that I don't get to Blog surf these days. Like I said before, things should get back to normal in the Fall. (Whatever NORMAL means)!!! I'll have lots of catching up to do over at your places by then...and looking forward to it!
Happy September,
Mary Lou

Your outfit is beautiful ~ I love the collar. Perfect motivation indeed!!
A little bling on the shoes would be fun but they're pretty just the way they are!

Wonderful header ML!

Mary Lou, That outfit is perfect and it has that just right vintage flair to go with the theme of the wedding...

Simply elegant is all I can say...but then that is so you! And comfortable (looking at least) shoes...a girl after my own heart. A touch of bling would look great in coordination with the buttons on the suit.
LOVE your new header! After the wedding...could you fly here and arrange my mantel for me? LOL! I check Ballard's sales every week hoping that they will have the Santos on sale again....hoping!
Thursday kisses!

Love your new header with the queen/crown theme going on. That is a very pretty dress and something you can wear again and again. I have a pretty light rose colored dress from my son's wedding...I could wear it again if I lost some weight...

Don't worry about "visiting" the rest of us. There's plenty of time for that later. Just enjoy this experience. Your little girl is getting MARRIED. Now that doesn't happen everyday. :)
I love the M.O.B. outfit. You are going to look stunning!

p.s. You can just send that candy my way. I'm always willing to help out. I'm generous that way. ;);)

I dedicated the lyrics to an old hymn to Sara and Will on my last post. May God bless you each during this special time in their lives.

WOW!! That is stunning! I have butterflies in my tummy on your behalf just thinking that it's only FOUR weeks & counting!! BTW...a definite yes on adding a 'bit of bling' to the shoes, which are gorgeous, but hey...why pass on an excuse!! Enjoy the countdown & thanks again for sharing the milestones on this wonderfully exciting journey! :)

What a beautiful dress. I love that it isn't matronly---you know what I mean. The collar is amazing. I'm really enjoying all of your ideas, plans and the style of the wedding. The girls dresses are delightful and such a luscious color.

I can totally imagine how busy you are right now. Try to take some breaks when you can. Easier said than done, I know.

Very pretty, Mary Lou! Definitely you should bling up the shoes.

Nothing works like a special occasion dress to keep one from over indulging on the treats, right?! ;o)

I miss you blogging too but I understand. There's a bride to be in our midst...that's important stuff!
You will be radiant both inside and out.
Hey...that is one cute header on your blog...magical my friend, pure magic!
Started up a home business called Jackie of all Trades. A little this and a little that. Selling two home party plans...At Home America and the natural goodness of The Watkins Company. Still maintaining my antique booth and doing a craft show and flea market. Never a dull day. Thank God, I don't have a bride to be too to fuss over. It would send me over the rivers edge!
