Stars and Stripes Forever

I filed this photo away last year, from MarthaStewart.com. She gives the instructions on her website under 'Holidays' if I remember right.
I'm not sure why, but ever since I can remember I have loved anything patriotic, nautical, or red, white and blue. I just adore it all!!!

The next two photos came from Jenny B. Harris last year, of 'Allsorts'.

Since the Fourth of July is only a month away, I had to try my hand at these little patriotic tweets.

This little guy sold in between the time I listed him and got this Post published...no worries, I put another one in. : )
These two below, made me think of the Declaration of Independence AND the American Flag, together. Ha!
And...something new in the Shop this year. : )

Happy Summertime!!!!!!!

Love the post and the birdies. I grew up in a city that is next to an army base, so being patriotic is absolutely a daily thing! Clarksville, TN & Ft Campbell, KY. The base straddles the TN-KY line, but more of the base in is TN. I married a handsome First Lieutenant almost 39 yrs ago!

I know I just texted you about this but I have to re-iterate how AMAZING this all is! you definitely are and always will be the nautical queen. I think I inherited your love of nautical colors too :) that flag bird is so chic and incredible. and you're the queen of banners! (i.e. my wedding banner) ;)

What a delightful post...full of inspiration! Your header is great...did I know that you had a second Santos? They are beauties! Love your new birdies and your banner. I like red, white and blue but it doesn't really go with my current scheme. My favorite bird is the one with the writing on it but it keeps selling out...I'd really like one if you have any of that fabric left. I have birds on my mantel right now...he's fit right in.
I took a card class the other night and now my desire to make "stuff" is coming back. I'll post some pictures later.

OK, I just don't even know where to start with this post! I feel like one of those characters with the rolling googly eyes. I too love patriotic displays so I LOVE every little detail you've shown. Your mantle and banner are fantastic! Have a wonderful Sunday, hugs and blessings, Nan

Hi ML! Thanks for offering some great patriotic inspiration decor pics. I've been scouring the web for inspiration to change up the decor/vignettes around my home, and you've presented some great ideas.

I absolutely LOVE your new birdies! And that banner is fabulous. What a talented artist you are :o)

Thanks for sharing!

Especially this year, I have been attracted to the grand ol' flag theme too! Michaels has a fun selection going on that is tempting me and you saw my wreath on my front door.
Now, I'm all for the patriotic birds! They are as cute as can be and I think a really special treasure to have. I wish I could afford them right now but I'm in a ditch and climbing out at the moment until I get more american bucks in the bank!
Off to make some more of those bucks right now.
Cheers to June and more cheers for July to come!
