The Giant Cupcake

One of Sara's cute friends had a birthday Saturday. This friend is famous for giving baked goodies to all her friends on their birthdays. So we knew what had to be done for the Queen of Baking on her birthday.

Pan, below, available everywhere. Online and in stores. I happened to get mine at JoAnn's, using my 40% off, of course. : )

Hope it was a happy one, Brittany!!!

I love that pan! But I don't want to pay the 30 something $ for it. I am such a lurp, cuz I never even thought of using my coupon for it! (cuz my daughter and I were too busy buying linen) But you can bet your booties I will use it the next time I have the opp!
Your giant cupcake had to be a smash hit for the baking queen! Thanks for sharing it with us. ♥

Oh ML that was just the sweetest thing honey. Just the sweetest. I am still looking for one of those cupcake pans. When I have looked the label is there, but they are always out of it at JoAnns. I'll have to check again, as I got another coupon in yesterdays paper. Great post. Happy Monday. Country Hugs and Love, Sherry

The cupcake idea is very cute. I am also looking for where you said we could find the mini frames for the necklaces. It seems like you gave a tutorial on it. I've looked at michaels and ben franklins and can't seem to find them at either. Maybe you can visit my blog and shed some light. Hope all is going well. I sure enjoy keeping in touch... even if by blog. I miss the v.T. days and also sharing our birthdays. Too bad I wasn't around for you to send me one of those yummy cupcakes... hee hee.

I love the cupcake. I went looking for one of those cupcake pans a couple months ago, and couldn't find one. I'll have to look at JoAnns again.

I'm sure your friend just loved it. Love the bow tied around it.

I love cupcakes! In fact I had to pinch myself to walk by the mini-cupcakes at the bakery this morning - cute little berry frosted things that were on sale. Egads.

That is such a cool pan! And I just love that 40% off coupon Joann's has.

Very, very cute and I'm sure she'll love it!

Love that pan-I've been debating on whether or not to get it, storage is always an issue with me. But it would solve the the "but I only ate ONE cupcake" issue for me! Hahahahaha! What do you think?

Do you have a favorite recipe to share for using this cupcake. I bought this mold, used it once and used a homemade chocolate cake recipe and the one side took forever to bake.
so would love to have a good homemade chocolate recipe, or am i filling one side to full?
I promised everyone a big cupcake this year for their birthday...and completely forgot!
No one reminded me either. yours is darling...tah dah!

How did that pan work for you? I've heard from other bloggers it was a little tricky to get the cake evenly baked. It turned out really cute. I think it would be so cute for Valentine's day too. Thanks for the comments about Stacey. Thank goodness we know what we know or how hopeless life would be. I know that there are worse things than death. But it is so hard to look at those sweet little kids who are without a mommy here on this earth. Missing the comfort that only a mom can give. Anyway, as you know, such is life. Mimi

Mary Lou and Sara, I resign my title of baking queen- the two of you have earned it!! The giant cupcake was AMAZING- a work of art! I felt slightly guilty cutting into it- and it was absolutely scrumptious!!! I love you both!!
