Wednesdays With My Mom, (plus a teeny bit of pride to share)

A new little family of five now, with the first three kiddos, here. My mom's health was challenged a bit after having no. 2 and no. 3 so close together, so you will notice her looking too thin in the next few weeks of photos. Regardless, she looks SO lovely here. So does my dad!! : )
Can you EVEN believe this??? Diana, you should have been entered in a contest! My grandparents (below). Looks like they came from Texas to see the new baby, enjoy the oldest two and help out during their visit. What special people they were!
On this Wednesday, last week, my mom and I enjoyed watching The King and I. It was so delightful to watch again. I hadn't seen it in a LONG time. Who can forget the adorable dance scene between Anna and the King?

Or the amazing interpretation (below) of Uncle Tom's Cabin. Some of the most outstanding choreography ever!

I always thought Debra Kerr and my mom looked alike. Both beautiful!

My sweet friend, Margie, offered to let me borrow some of her 'large piece' puzzles to do with my mom on Wednesdays. They say that puzzles, word games, crossword puzzles, etc. are very good for the brain and memory.

And last...I hope you won't mind me sharing something very HAPPY with you!! Michelle, over at From House to Home purchased one of my Nest Banners recently and then took photographs of where she displayed it in her home. I thought I would burst with pride when I saw these pix over at her place.

Thanks Michelle, for making my day last week. And thanks blogging friends for letting me share with you! I hope your Wednesday's a good one.

M.L.

Your Mom is beautiful...and her clothes. I love what she's wearing in the first photo. How cool that you got to see what you made displayed like that!

She has the exact same bone structure as Deborah Kerr! I love the first photo! And I was struck, when I saw the photo of your grandparents with the kids, that you and I are probably older than they were then...and isn't it funny how that has changed over the years?

Oh ML your Moma looks good in the picture of her. She is doing puzzles how wonderful is that. It is funny how we grow up and suddenly the roles in our lives change. She seems to be happy in her new home. I know it is an adjustment for you, but honey she really does look happy. You know she needs that round the clock care. Enjoy your Moma Wednesday and have fun with her today. Thanks for sharing honey. I continue to pray about you both. Country Hugs, Sherry

Your Mom has such a sweet smile on her face and she looks so comfy in that chair. I think puzzles are such a great idea and how nice that you could borrow some with larger pieces for the two of you to do together. The King and I is such a good movie ~ I haven't watched it in forever though.

Your banner looks like it was made to order for that spot!!

"SLUT!!" thougt I would die I tell ya!!

HI M.L.!!!
I too love reading and seeing the photos of your Mom, I started some thing new on Wednesdays--show and tell, and today's theme is a person but not someone in your family, I am doing my MOM, I know she is in my family, but not my family I live and blog about all the time!!! So I will have it done later today, as I have some fun photos to scan, and It takes me awhile to do!!!!haha
love the big puzzle, where do you get those????

To answer about my mom, no, she doesn't have diabetes, which is such a blessing, since so many kidney patients do. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers and sweet comments. They really do mean so much to us. :) Have a good Thursday!

What precious pictures of your family! Both your parents look like movie stars! I loved that dance scene in the King and I. I wanted a big skirt with a hoop in it so I could dance like Anna did, swooping around the dance floor. Great movie. Mimi
