Have you ever heard the phrase, "Like mother, like daughter"? Well, when it comes to Holiday decorating, the saying applies to all my children. They've happily carried on the tradition of going ga-ga over the holidays. : ) We went out to my married daughter's place last weekend and here's what we were greeted with.
Also, last Saturday, we had these two little pumpkins over for awhile while Mommy and Daddy ran some errands. So...we colored some Halloween pictures.
Oh, notice the cute hair bows daughter made for the girls.
We watched one of our favorite Halloween shows, 'The Halloween That Almost Wasn't'. We've watched this every year since...almost forever. : ) Our other fun tradition is to watch 'The Ghost and Mr. Chicken', with Don Knotts, while we carve our pumpkins. It's a "must-see"!
Grand finale where the Witch flies over the moon.
Next we made some Halloween cookies. YUM!!
Enjoying their work. : )
We are going to miss this little Trick-or-Treater this year. He is in London with his mommy and daddy. : ( Daddy is there working, and mommy is there going to school.
We love and miss you guys. The holidays won't be the same without you this year!!!
I'm behind in catching up on your Sites. Don't give up on me, I'll catch up over the weekend.
Have a great one!

Your daughter's decorations are great. I love that huge spider! The girls look so cute with their hair ribbons and look like they enjoyed their cookies! Thanks for sharing all the cute holiday photos.
Her decorating is beautiful. Sounds like you and the girls had a great time while mom and dad were out!
Yes, she seems very much like you. Creativity flowing through her veins! She did a spooktacular job decorating.
It does a heart good doesn't it?

You sure are a fun grandma! Looks like the girls had lots of fun with grandma. Your daughters decorations are beautiful and those bows in the girls hair are super. I'm sure you do miss your son's family while they are gone. Have a great Halloween. Sounds like you had great movies to watch.
Your daughter and mine would have fun decorating together - she really gets into all of that and does a great job. Have a great weekend.
What a beautiful family you have! I sure miss mine that live far away!
I just wanted to ask you where do you find most of your Lori Mitchell Collectabls?
It's so so true, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
~♥~
Oh yes your daughters place looks great you should be proud! And I too will be missing our Amelie and her Mommy and Daddy they are in Utah this Halloween ): Hugs, Diane
The "boo" letters: TOTALLY going to be copied over here! Those are TOO CUTE!! I'll have to check out the movies yall watched- things now a days are just a little too intense for our sensitive Miss O- Its hard to find something fun to watch this time of year!
Building these types of memories in what matters. I loved seeing the little girls and the tradition of the Halloween movies. The bows in their hair inspire me to make one for my little girls...wonder how a pomaranian and a chihuahua would look with Halloween bows. Adorable and fun time.
My daughter can't decorate at all, that is why she has me. When we had our consignment store she would say...I'll do anything mom but don't make me decorate! Happy Halloween Cheers to all of you!
HI Mary lou!!!
My daughter and i made those same BOO letters this year!!! Different paper but the same idea!!!! I love that my daughter loves to decorate for the Holidays too!!!! We love doing this together!!! The kids love it!!! I say the more the better!!!!!

hugs,
jamie
It's genetic! There are bona fide future generations of Martha MacGyvers! I believe we shall have to call your daughter MM2 and her daughters MM2a and MM2b.
The photos gave me a gigglefest of delight!
She DID inherit the crafty, creative gene from you. How fun. So glad you could spend time with your family - so cute!
XOXO
Jen
Your daughter definitely has inherited your decorating genes!!! She has done a GREAT job! It looks like the girls had a lot of fun at your home with coloring, movies and cookies....what could be better????
It is always hard when you can't be with ALL the ones you love. Hopefully, they will send you lots of pictures. Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.♥
Well you're so right, she's a chip off the old block. Cute bows on cute girls. Wouldn't it be a good time to go visit London? GREAT idea. Mimi
Your daughter learned from the pro!
CUTE-CUTE grandkids. Looks like you have a lot of fun with them.
Have a great day.
Sandra
There is nothing like a day with the grandkids. Thanks for sharing your traditions and new memories. I miss being close to mine. I have so much fun when I am with them and I am so attached.
I did spend last weekend with our little two year old grandson at Disneyland and also spent one day making a "Max" costume. Good thing one of my kids still lives close by.
Mom! I'm so embarrassed! I'm just an amateur compared to you! Thanks for all the sweet comments, though. If I wasn't so busy going to school I'd have done a whole lot more. Thanks for passing on a legacy of cooky-ness, mom. :)
Your granddaughters are so precious! It's nice you got to spend the day with them. It's so hard when loved ones are away. I was thrilled to see you'd stopped by for a visit and appreciate all your comments. They meant so much. I hope you have a wonderful week! Twyla
I keep saying that I need to make some Halloween decorations and all of a sudden it's a week away! I will have to keep checking your blog to find some last minute cute projects that I can copy ;)
