Wednesdays With My Mom

Mom's hair had started to grow out by the time this pic was taken.

My blogging friend, PJ, told me last week that my dad reminded her of Ronald Reagan. I never thought that before, but with that thought in mind, I can see it now. : )
These next photos were not actually taken last Wednesday because I was getting ready to go out of town by then. These were taken earlier in the week when I had my mom stay over for a few days. I know how much she loves to help with projects, so I asked her if she wanted to work on some of my pumpkin stems.
Boy, did she go to town. What a trooper.
Showing her beautiful handiwork here. Thanks Mom!!
One of you sweet bloggers said in the comments from my last post, "I hope you will show more pics from your trip to Salt Lake". I was very touched by that, so here you go. : ) This photo below is of Emily and Grandpa at the restaurant during lunch.
After lunch, we went down to the first floor to kill some time while we waited for William to arrive. There just happened to be an Art Exhibit that day of these beautiful photographs, depicting different scenes from the life of Christ.
They were all so beautifully done.

My favorites were of the children.

Then guess who ran up and surprised Sara from behind. Thus, the big smile. : )
Just had to throw this one in (below) because it was So Darn Cute!!

And, a sneak peek at what's coming to the Shop next. I've got six in the works, but here's the first three.

The Fronts (above) and the Backs (below).

I'll be putting these in, in the next day or so. Hope you're having a great Wednesday.
M.L.

Pictures are wonderful. I remember when My Mom would come to visit. I just wanted her to relax and I take care of her, but she always wanted to do something. I learn that she wanted to feel that she was still able to do things and it made her feel better. After that I always made a point of having a job for her to do when she came over.

I miss her so much, especially this time of the year. It was her favorite.

Perfect pumpkin stems!! You mom is such a dear ~ it's so special that she can help you with your crafts. It's also so nice to see photos of your family.

Thank you for sharing the life of Christ photos ~ my favorites are the ones with the children too. Especially the one where he's laughing. It just blesses my heart to think of Christ laughing and happy.

Love the new shop items! They're usually all sold before I see them in the shop so I'm glad you post them on the blog too! : )

Love those charms. So great for my witches costume. Janis did get your witch thing. She's really tickled with it. We were going to go to the temple this AM but she's come down with shingles! She hasn't been feeling very well for awhile. That pic of your mom is so great. She's still so beautiful. Mimi

ML, that top photo is another magazine layout!! What a beautiful, beautiful family. You must have turned heads when you were all out en masse.

Wilma looks like she's doing great! She is such a trooper!

Loved, loved, loved the photo exhibit of Christ, but, the instant I saw it, my knee jerk reaction was,"Christ featured in Salt Lake City?" Am I incorrect in thinking that Mormons think of him as an historic figure and not the Lord? It just caught me by surprise!

When do you start working on Thanksgiving and Christmas? :)
