Sara has always loved "everything vintage" ...

So, aqua and cream seemed to be the perfect fit for a Vintage-Inspired Wedding. Then, we came across this (below) very recently...done deal!

And because Audrey Hepburn and her fabulous fashion taste will be a big inspiration for the wedding, we have been busy collecting all these bridal crinoline petticoats for the Bridesmaids (even though they will need to be shortened to knee-length). Thank you, Goodwill!!!
We had a houseful of guests last week, so I was nowhere to be seen in Blogland. Hopefully, I can do some catching up (in between the cutting out of aqua dresses).
*While Sara and I peruse the Internet, we just "click and save" like crazy, but then forget where the photos came from. I will gladly put your name under any photograph that belongs to you...just leave me a comment. : )

Hi Mary Lou,

I'd offer to help, but I just got through my daughters wedding and it took everything I had. The colors and the theme you've got going on are stunning. We had some aqua and cream in her wedding, along with mustard yellow, black, gray, and coral. Yours will be easier......believe me......LOL. When is the big day?

Hugs,
Meri

HI!!!!
I also love anything VINTAGE now!!!!
it is so fashionable to be re using something!!!!
GUESS WHAT!!!!!!
My daughter's wedding 6 years ago was .....
AQUA !!!!She wanted Tiffany Blue SOOO BAD, but we were way ahead of our time, it was nearly impossible to find anything that color, then my sister found aqua dresses for the bridesmaids in CHicago, so we ordered them from them!!!!!
I will have to upload some pics one day for you to see!!!!!

Hi ML Sweetie...
Oh it looks as if you are going to have your hands even more full than before. I can't wait to see the dresses all sewn and the petticoats cut to length. How beautiful this aqua color is.

Congratulations to the Bride and Groom. The make the sweetest couple, and I so enjoyed the photos that you shared of each of them from infant to now. They are so precious.

ML I have been sick for 2 1/2 months, totally locked inside my house, and hospitalized for 8 days, I was so sorry to read about your sweet Moma passing. Like you wrote though, she has been released and we know she is so happy to be with your sweet Daddy in heaven. I am sure the fireworks went off there yesterday. I will truly miss your Wednesday posts sweet friend. You are going to have to find another thing to write about on Wednesday.

I am so happy to be blogging a little again. I have truly missed you sweetie.

Country hugs..>Sherry

Ooooh! all very Tiffany!! I love it & well done for taking the 'recycling' route with those petticoats...I cannot wait to see what's next on the planning schedule!!

I do the same thing! Then I go back 2 weeks (or 1 day) later and can't remember where I got the pic. Anyway, love those colors. I went to a wedding reception a few months ago where they had an aqua vintage typewriter that the guests typed their well wishes instead of a guest book. So cute. Also a cute site is amorology. Click on weddings. They have a darling carnival reception in aqua and red. So cute. Wish I lived closer, I'd come and help! Mimi

The photos were great, but I'm a vintage girl from the word go.

I can't wait to see what you and Sara come up with.....it will be stunning, that's for sure.

It is going to be so pretty. I so love weddings that I am hooked on watching all the wedding shows on TV. My daughter painted her kitchen cabinets aqua which I think is a bit much but then again it is her house and not mine:-)

What a find at Goodwill...it's amazing how lucky a girl can get! I'm so excited about the upcoming wedding. You must be in your very very happy spot with aqua plans spinning in your head. How fun and how pretty it will be. I love the fact she loves vintage. I was in a thrift store the other day and a mom and grandma were picking up plastic flowers that were straight out of the 60's for a vintage autumn wedding. They had old pictures of orange and brown florals. It made me smile. My daughter will likely be married in bare feet on the beach...I predict...but no engagement yet...
