92nd Post and how the Giveaway Voting is going so far

BUT FIRST...I give you my version of the Tin "Can-Can" Girl. : )
Have you ever had one of those projects that you thought would be simple and quick, but you just couldn't stop at "simple" and just kept going...and going...and going???
My inspiration: Julie Haymaker Thompson. One of the most amazing artists out there!
Every little feature that was suppose to be simple, turned out to be the opposite, because these little light bulbs just kept going off in my head.
However, I have no regrets because I'm very happy with the way she turned out. I even cut those dowel legs, covered them with paper, and drilled holes in them so they would dangle.
I got the button for her hat at Goodwill. However, it was attached to a "very interesting" pant suit. Just for fun, I offered the "very interesting" pant suit to Sara before cutting the buttons off. She said, "No thanks Mom", in case you were wondering. : )
Teeny tiny grapes came from Goodwill too. LOVE that Store.

Okay, onto how the voting is coming along. So far, as I said yesterday, the white pumpkin head on a box is in first place.
Next in the running is the Eiffel Tower necklace:
And third, is the Ballerina Box:
So unless the voting changes things a lot, this is going to be it. If some of you are just now coming over, you can see all 12 items to vote on in yesterday's post. Thanks for being such good sports, this has been fun!

I am in love with your tin can girl. You have a wonderful and wild imagination and your art reflects that. I hope you don't hit your 100th before I get home from my trip on the 18th. I love all of your things but my favorite is the bottle and then the ballerina box. (Of course if there's anything you want to discard from your blog header..heheheh!)

Your tin can girl turned out great! I love your art, you are very talented. And I always have my eyes open to find things to use in my art pieces at stores like goodwill. It's a treasure hunt because you can find some neat little things, like the grapes!

Hi sweetie...

She is very cool! I am not sure what kind of mind you have to have to come up with this stuff...hehe!
Thanks for the kind words. It is such a relief that Scott has won his case. Poor guy has had no pay since January.

Glad that ballerina made the cut! She was my pick!!!

Blessings,
Susie

Just wanted to say that even though "whimsey" isn't my personal style, and I admire that you've done it so beautifully, I really love the white pumpkin head box. So cute! I have the perfect spot for something like that. :)

There just isn't anyone who makes this type of art better than you. Every detail is so interesting and lovely. How about the wings? What are they made from? I love the way you discribe the "simple" process that gets out of control. Such a wonderful post! E
