Wednesdays With My Mom

Mom with new baby, June.
Dad with new baby... Oldsmobile. : )

Andy, stop it with the cuteness already! Looks like Daddy had to capture the "first steps".

And Diana...always the adorable dolly!

My mom looks like she's having a rough day here, but actually this Wednesday, last week, went so much better than the previous week. The move went great, but we've hit a few bumps in the road in regards to making the transition. As my dad always use to say..."one day at a time".

Last Wednesday just happened to be my son, Scott's birthday. (Somebody loves their big brother). : ) I'd tell you how old Scott is now, but then what would that say about me?...That I'm an antiquity! Ha-ha!
Mr. S. (Nana's little man).

Then all my Ballerinas showed up after Ballet class.

I decided to pull out this old puzzle of the U.S., thinking it would be good for my mom AND the grandkiddies. They LOVED it!
I told them to put their hands on the map at the end. (Mr. S had gone by this time). It was a very good day!
Happy Wednesday!

Your family is adorable. Oh those pics look wonderful from a carefree day so long ago. Sometimes I wish we still lived in those days.

I went through old photos of my parents and found that most of them include a car - and all different ones!

I hope your bumps smooth out for you.

Happy Birthday to Scott - and I'm sure we'd never believe how old you were anyway because of that super young looking photo of you in your profile! What? Is there something on my nose? ;)

Hi ML!
Such a wonderful post. I am so glad to see your Mom, as she looks so happy. Her new home must agree with her. Your family is just beautiful. I have been going through some rough times in my family too. You'll have to stop by and read my blog. My niece is battling cancer, and we have had some rough times, but yesterday was a good one. Talk to you soon. Country Hugs, Sherry

I'm glad things are looking up. These transitions can be tough. Looks like you all had a wonderful day. Happy belated Birthday to your handsome son. My oldest is 33 which is a miracle since I'm only 39;).

I love a family that gathers. I always feel badly for families that don't. It's great your mom is making the transition, even if it is slow. I always have to remind myself about 'baby steps' still being a move in the right direaction. We do what we can and give the rest to God. Don't forget that!

Hi ML-I've been such a bad writer recently! Away twice this month and lots of deadlines in-between! I think of you and your Mom every day when I pray and I will email you soon. I love it too, when families (whole or part) can get together. I'm sure the great- grandkids are a joy for your Mom. You are so clever with your clip-up thingy! You will use things that you can see...I forget what I have! It couldn't be because I have too much...oh no, that's not it! Hugs to you and a kiss on the cheek for your Mom!

I have the Most fond memories of playing with United States puzzles. Your daughters remind me of my sweet nieces who are so loving towards their grandmother. I am so happy they have all of your wonderful photographs. By the way! You are just beyond clever to invent such neat organizational things for something I would just pass by. Amazing is what you are! Elizabeth
